How to Place an Order
2.1 You can place an order through our website, by selecting the product(s) you wish to buy, then selecting ‘add to basket’. View your basket to ensure you have selected the correct product(s). Then select ‘checkout’ and follow the next steps to payment.
2.2 You can order by telephone by calling +44(0)117 7442640. Please take note of the product name & product code.
2.3 If item is out of stock, please allow up to 1 - 2 weeks for restocking. On the off chance it takes longer we will phone you to let you know when it becomes available.
2.4 In the event of a typographical error, where a price or item description has been listed incorrectly, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order placed for the goods at the incorrect price. If your card has already been charged, we will refund the amount immediately.
2.5 Prices can be changed without prior notice.
2.6 We reserve the right to alter specifications.
2.7 No minimum order.
2.8 Delivery plus (20%) VAT will be added on to all orders.
5.1 Delivery Time: 3 – 5 working days from cleared payment date.
5.2 Delivery times may vary, particularly during peak periods such as seasonal holidays and during extreme weather conditions.
5.3 Original Marquetry Ltd are not responsible for delivery time. This information is provided by the carrier and excludes weekends and bank holidays, unless stated otherwise.
5.4 Original Marquetry Ltd want to be able to track parcels at any time and so we use a COURIER for a top quality service!
5.5 Our courier will either text or email on the day of delivery so please ensure someone is in to accept your parcel as the courier require a signature.
5.6 You will receive a tracking number via text or email.
5.7 Please ensure someone is in to accept your parcel from 8am to 6pm. If our courier is unable to deliver your parcel due to no one being available to accept and sign for it, the parcel will be sent back to us. To resend it, our customer will be liable for another delivery charge. For refunds; a 20% restocking charge will apply, we will then refund the cost of the goods excluding carriage + VAT.
5.8 Delivery Address: Please ensure your delivery address is correct. We will not be held responsible for any parcel loss due to incorrect address.
5.9 Once your order has been dispatched the delivery address may not be changed.
5.10 Adding Special Instructions: If you require special instructions to be placed up on your parcel, we shall do so. However, the Courier still require someone to sign for the parcel. Therefore, Original Marquetry Ltd take no responsibility if your parcel is lost or damaged due to following special instructions.
5.11 Orders made by phone: We cannot be held responsible for mistakes. To avoid any mistakes please order online or confirm with us via email however we reconfirm items placed over the phone with you to ensure they are correct.
5.12 We do not delivery to PO BOX addresses.
Wood Veneer Information
7.1 As veneer is a natural product it may have small natural blemishes or splits, however we pride ourselves on selling top quality veneers.
7.2 Coloured Veneer: We are the Distributor of S.A.S. Dyed Coloured Wood Veneers, the best quality coloured veneers available in the world. They are made in an alcohol system where the dyes penetrate 100% of the wood fibre so are the same colour throughout the whole veneer, even if a small layer is sanded away. Warning: Please be careful with coloured veneer dust created when sanding, especially the Red or Black Dyed Veneers, it needs to be brushed away completely before applying any type of polishing. We suggest sampling your polishing method with small pieces of your chosen veneer before doing so on a big project.
7.3 Original Marquetry Ltd will not be held responsible for any damage or mistakes caused to the veneer by the customer, regarding Coloured Veneer Dust Transfers or any other damage due to not testing finishing methods.
7.4 Wood veneer is sent rolled up and should be unpacked as soon as possible after delivery. A continued period of being rolled up can cause the veneer to retain its 'rolled up' shape. We recommend unpacking the veneer as soon as possible and storing it flat under a weight or press (if possible) and in a cool, dry place.
7.5 Please keep the wood veneers away from direct sunlight as it can cause bleaching & discoloration.
